Join Poetic Goods and the Greater Chicago Food Depository as we give back to the Chicago community through a food repack session. We have two options available, 5/18 and/or 6/22. You can select either one or both. We can’t wait to serve our community with you!

About the event
Come out for a funfilled, Poetic community service day! The hunger crisis can’t be defeated alone. With your help, we can provide the nourishment our neighbors need to improve their quality of life. Together, we can properly and efficiently distribute quality food to participating food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters in Cook County through our repack sessions. The Greater Chicago Food Depository receives donated food in bulk, and volunteers are needed to “repack” that food into family-size portions to be distributed at local partner agencies. Repack sessions take place at their warehouse on the southwest side of Chicago (4100 W Ann Lurie Pl, Chicago, IL 60615). We will have music and refreshments to sustain our volunteers on our day of service. Bring a family member, a group of friends or coworkers, or come alone and support your community by volunteering at the food bank. See you there!
